Weekend Wrap Up / 3

We had a long weekend full of fun and family time! My mother in law was in for the holiday weekend.

Friday (Fourth of July)

We started the dog with some coffee from a local coffee shop. I got a cold brew float! So good. The we had a little dog pawty. My MIL brought her dog with her for the weekend and my dad & stepmom brought their dog over. We grilled some burgers and just hung out. After my dad, step mom left, got some ice cream. That night, we stayed in the (finished) basement so the dogs wouldn’t hear the fireworks.

Saturday

We started the day at a farmer’s market and I found the cutest paw car air freshener. Then we took a road trip to Springfield, IL. We got lunch at Cozy Dog Drive Inn. They say they are the home of the original corn dog on a stick! It was a cute little diner with good food. Then we went to Scheels. This store has a ferris wheel inside! We got some frappe’s and played mini bowling. It was a fun, mini road trip.

Sunday

We worked on this cute dog puzzle we got. It’s 1,000 pieces an not easy, but we enjoy working on puzzles. Then we went to church. Since it was nice out, they held it at the park. After that, we relaxed for the rest of the day.
